Libby has always had a passion for food, cooking and wellbeing, but only really connected them when she had a series of chronic health problems in her teens and early twenties. She discovered “food [could] be thy medicine” (Hippocrates). Spurred on by her own experience, she retrained as a nutritional therapist at the University of Westminster with a focus on evidence based medicine and the Functional Medicine school of thought. Libby is a full member of British Association of Nutritional Therapist (www.BANT.org), the UK’s professional body for nutritional therapists. She believes in maintaining continuing professional development (CPD) and regularly attends courses to expand and maintain her knowledge.
She believes in creating optimal health through a diet and lifestyle that fits around your life. Balance in all aspects of life relieves discomfort, restores functionality and helps sustain and maintain wellbeing of the body, mind and soul. As health means different things to different people, her approach is to individually, gently and safely change and develop diet and lifestyle to achieve her client’s goals.
She is a general practitioner working with clients that suffer from all sorts of health issues from chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal imbalances, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, to hormone, metabolic and detoxification imbalances, as well as general wellbeing and sports nutrition. She has special interest in nutrition and lifestyle advice for fertility.
