Matt graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, Europe’s oldest and most established chiropractic college with First Class Honors and a Masters degree in 2002. As an English Doctor of Chiropractic he has been in practice in London where he was born, since he graduated.
Matt realises that one approach to treatment does not work for every person every time, and is experienced enough to recognise and have investigated, studied and learned many different approaches to meet a patients needs. Alongside traditional chiropractic techniques he is certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and uses acupuncture and Applied Kinesiology (AK) to assist a patients progress when appropriate. Matt has a special interest in finding out the deeper causes as to why long-standing conditions have not resolved and uses Neurological Integration (NIS) as a foundation for this.
Having spent extensive study time towards appreciating and learning many aspects of improving human function and movement as a cornerstone to optimising sports performance he is well placed to assess, manage and treat a wide variety of sports injuries while reducing the chances of their recurrence. Furthermore Matt has completed the International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma (ICSSD), the world recognised post-graduate qualification for sports chiropractors. Additionally to fulfill his interest in sports nutrition Matt has become the first chiropractor to complete the two-year post-graduate diploma (PGDip) in sports nutrition as awarded by the International Olympic Committee.
Over the years he has been fortunate to work with some of the best athletes in the world in their field on a consistent basis. Currently Matt is Team Chiropractor and Physical Therapies Co-ordinator to Garmin-Sharp Professional Cycling Team travelling with them to races all over the world. In the summer of 2012 Matt had the privilege of being one of only six UK based chiropractors selected to work in the Polyclinic of the Athletes Village at the London Olympic Games, where he got to work alongside other leading sports practitioners and treat many athletes on a daily basis. Additionally Matt is currently chiropractic consultant to West Ham United Football Club.
In between working with sports teams, Matt continues to work in practice in London.
